Christmas

Hello Pals,-

Hope all is well. It's been crazy round here. I've been so busy taking care of the Bug who has again injured her paw, that I haven't realised two weeks have passed since my last Blog. So I have just enough time to write a quick update before the humans wake up from their nap.

Christmas was GREAT! The man in the red suite came again this year and filled our stockings with toys and treats just like last year. I can't believe I didn't catch him though. I stayed up all night waiting for him, and as I went out side to empty my bladder, and left the Bug on watch ... he came... and guess what... SHE WAS ASLEEP! Anyway, I decided to do some research on the guy. Apparently he is called Santa Claws, now that is something I don't like. It makes him sound like there is a fat cat under that suite! So anyway, I will be soon starting a petition to change his name to Santa Paws... so anyone wanting to help, please send me an email and I will send you the details. I don't want to put too many details on here in case he doesn't like... I don't want to upset the guy, in case he puts a lump of coal in my stocking next year.

Anyway, on Christmas morning, the humans helped us open his presents and they also gave us their's. They opened the presents we gave them, and they all loved them. We then went to Curpaige beach, and played in the sea and rolled in the sand. After that, we went home and where pampered to a bath with a pedicure and a manicure. Then, the humans decided to dress us up to take some pictures. As usual I looked ever so photogenic. The same cannot be said for the Bug, who wasn't too pleased (hihi.... look at her picture, her expression says it all!) The human dressed up as well. She looked ok, but naturally not as good as myself. We also had a special meal on Christmas day with a fabulous dessert called "Dog Teasers", special chocolate balls made out of special chocolate for dogs, which won't harm us. It's special and comes from the North Pole, Santa P (C) aws brought it for us. I love Christmas!

Then, two days after Christmas, my humans together with Daniela (Jake's human) and the slave (I think he's called Josvic), went to tour the pals who have no humans of their own to give them staff to sleep on, staff to eat and treats. The Bug and I gave them some of our food and bedding. The pals were really happy to receive them, and so were the humans taking care of them. It always makes me so sad to think about them, so I decided to make a New Year's Resolution... the only one for this year: To put some food and treats apart every month so that my humans can give them to them at Christmas next year. I have told Paige too and she has decided to do the same. Spread the word around pals, together we can feed loads of other pals in shelters who aren't as lucky as us to have humans who cuddle them and kiss them and spoil them. We have a lot to be grateful for.

Anyway pals. I got to run. I just heard the alarm go off,

I'll speak to you in the New Year! Have a wonderful beginning, and make sure you don't drink too much human alcohol, remember it's not good for us.

Speak soon,

XXX

The Precious Paw and other stuff

Hello Pals,

Hope all is well. As you may have noticed my blogs are becoming less frequent. I am sorry about this, I know you all eagerly wait for my pictures and write ups but when you're as popular as I am, it can at times be hard to find time to post a couple of lines. However, I haven't forgotten about you all my loyal fans and friends. So here is another one.

I have recently found out that I have a VERY precious paw, so precious in fact that my humans have asked me for an autograph which I have cast for them in clay. They were so happy with it, my human is treating it with some stuff so she can use it as a paper weight. That is not all. My human is constantly asking me to sit and give him my paw. It doesn't cost me  anything so I hand it to him when ever he asks for it. He gets all happy and excited when I do and says I'm the best boy ever! Humans eh! They please themselves with such little things. It makes you think how happy they'd be if they were allowed to run naked and lift their legs against every corner they see and smell each other's butts, just like us pals do. Humans miss so much from the pleasures of life.

My human has thought me how to use the photo camera or so he thinks. He sets it up for me, and sets the remote.... then I just put my paw on the remote and "click," the picture is taken. The picture attached of the Bug is one of my very first photos. Very nice, isn't it :) ? Of course we all know that I have been taking pictures for a very long time when they're not home, but now I can use the camera even when they're home as they think it's a trick they taught me!

And... you'll never guess what grew back in the living room this year? The six foot tree with all its funny fruits  which I never got to taste last year, together with the hundreds of little fairy looking lights. The two stockings with our names have appeared as well! I wonder if the man in the red suite is coming again this year. I hope so. He brought us loads of treats and toys last year.

Anyway Pals, I have to run. Humans will soon be back from shopping.

Speak soon (I hope!)

Shaping Up

Hello Pals,

Hope all is well all over the world. I am breathless after another workout. I've been up and down the stairs all morning making sure to keep in shape. Paige and I have been working out during the past couple of weeks. She said she would come with me to help me lose weight. What I didn't know about was her hidden agenda!

She was shaping up and looking for a boy the whole time, and I thought she was being a good sister and supporting me. The humans found out, so she is now not allowed anywhere off leash! Haha... serves her right! No hanky panky behind the human's back and no chance of herself multiplying her self. Good! That gives me a good few years to build up more stamina for when the little Bugs are born. The only down part to all this is, that because the Bug cannot be off leash, we cannot go to the beach for the next few weeks or so. *Sigh* That means I have to work out on my own at home, running upstairs and jumping up and down the sofa.

Those of you who have been following me on Facebook might have realised that my "profile picture" changed from my picture to that of "Gnasher" the dog from Dennis The Menace. Well for anyone wondering why, this was something that was going on, on Facebook. Basically anyone on Facebook was supposed to change their profile picture for their favorite cartoon character from childhood and since Gnasher was my favorite, I put its picture up. You know... I never quite understood whether Gnasher was a boy or a girl, but anyway... Just to put your mind at rest pals, my picture is back up. So you can all enjoy my teddy bear face.

Anyway pals, I have to be off. I need to go and guard the front door as boys are queing up outside to see the Bug, and human won't be too pleased when she finds out I haven't been down stairs scaring them off.

I will attempt to write soon, but I can't promise anything. It's rather hectic round here these days.

Loads of stuff

Hello Pals,

Sorry for not posting for a while but I had a severely injured paw which I hurt whilst training and shaping up to protect the Bug now that she is a champion. I couldn't type, couldn't even walk on it for that matter. The humans bandaged it up for me, so glad they removed the bandaged and I can type, walk, run and swim again!

So catch up time.... Since the last Blog, the Bug won another show. That's when I decided to start shaping up. So I started running again and jumping. Thought I'd replace my family pack with a six pack, but shortly after starting, I got injured. I quickly recovered though thanks to my personal medical staff.... my human ma and human grans. You see, the humans had to go on holiday so human granddad and human nanna, came over to look after us. I loved every minute of it. They spoilt us rotten, even took time off from work so we wouldn't be left alone all day. Human granddad also had an injured foot, so he could relate to what I was going through and took really good care of me. We got to eat extra treats, sleep on the bed and stay up late! How cool is that! Then, when the humans got back, they got us extra treats, and toys. I think they felt guilty they left us behind.

They took us swimming today. We hadn't been on a sandy beach for months. Loved rolling around in the sand, and fetching our "sea toy". The "sea toy" is a treasure I found once will at "Curpaige beach", it is the only thing I will fetch for my humans from the sea. We stayed at the beach for over an hour. Then went home and the humans washed us and gave us both a haircut. I really look like I came out of a magazine cover now. Can't wait till they go abroad again!

Anyway pals, got to run. I have loads of catching up to do. The humans took the laptop with them when they went on holiday, and I am still catching up on my emails. Enjoy the pictures. The first is of me and my injured paw, prior to my haircut. The other is of Paige and I taken this morning at the beach with MY treasure

The Bug is a Champion!

Hello Pals,

It's been a crazy week here once again, full of parties and celebrations. You see Paige had a show last weekend and from what I heard she showed very well, she showed so well in fact that she won her class and Reserve in Group, which gave her the final four points for her Championship. She is now officially known as CH. Saussurea Spellbound, under the Maltese National Canine Federation. Everyone here is so proud of her. Can't believe my very own younger sister is a champion at just 17 months! What a star! She is also very chuffed about the whole thing, she thinks she made it to the front page of the newspaper. What she doesn't know is that it's a photo-montage done by myself! Hihihihi....

More news today also arrived from Poland. This time, from Paige's mum side of the family. She had a new litter today, two boys: a blue merle boy and a black tri boy just like Paige. Not sure whether it should be a cause for celebration or not though... another two Bugs?! It can't be a good thing right? Let's just hope they don't turn out to be Bugs like their older sister!

Not much else to report, except for a horrendous thunder storm last night with loads of pictures taken from the sky of myself to appear in "Heaven on Sunday". They caused complete havoc of course, with cars being dragged about by the water and floods everywhere. I suppose it's a small price the humans have to pay so that the gods above can enjoy my pictures in their news papers. In case you haven't quite gotten the plot, when the sky lights up, that is not lightening per se`, in reality they are camera flashes from huge photocameras that the gods use to take pictures of me, so that they can put them in their news papers. Unfortunately, when this happens, rain inevitably follows (they're still trying to perfect their technology). Sometimes it floods, and sometimes it doesn't but unfortunately there isn't much I can do. I can hide from the human & dog paparazzi but I cannot hide from heavenly paparazzi of course. So all I can do is just pose, and try to appear good in every shot they take, after all, its not worth angrying the gods!

Anyway pals, I'm off. Still need to get groomed in case another photo-session from above follows.

Another ultra late Blog Post....

Hello Pals,

I'm sorry for yet another late post, but my human has gone back to school and the laptop is never vacant these days, she's either on it or if she's not home, she takes it with her to wherever she goes! The result? I cannot spend any time online. *Sigh* I feel so cut off from the world. Thankfully she is at work today, so I can finally write something and let you know what's going on.

The raining season is finally here. We're not allowed to go out in the rain when the humans are home, but we love it when they're not here. We get to play, bark, sing, jump and roll outside in the rain until we're soaking wet! The gods above also take pictures of us from up there, as the sky is all the time flashing. I am sure they use my pictures in "The God Times" or perhaps "Heaven on Sunday". I guess I'm becoming famous up there as well.  Anyway, the humans are never happy when they get home and find us all soaking wet of course, but they never say anything, so we pretend we didn't notice. Plus of course, they're humans, and they soon forget, especially when we wag our butts and lick their faces. That's a trick Paige thought me. They forget how cross they were, they smile, lean over and give us a hug and a kiss. I guess they figure out how lucky they really are to have ME (and Paige) as their very own Aussies.

Since the "not so hot" weather is back, our exercise routine is back to normal. We get to run around in the fields and go for long walks. I'm sure it won't be long until all the humans have stopped going to the beach and we can finally start swimming in winter. I'm also looking forward to the human's Christmas holidays... we get to go to the beach almost every day :))) Speaking of Christmas, I wonder if that tree will grow again in our living room this year. Paige said that she learnt in Poland that it grows every year round about the same time. She also said white stuff falls from the sky. I never saw it, so probably it's just a figment of her imagination.

In the meantime, my humans took me back to the doctors, but of course I didn't want to go in. What do they expect? The last time I was there, I fell asleep and my family jewels were gone when I woke up. Anyway, it was only for a small jab this time. Not sure what for though. The human said it will all be worth it, so I can go with them to Austria next year. Cool isn't it?! Apparently the Bug and I will get to swim in the lake and run in the mountains. Can't wait!!! :)

Well pals, I have to be off. I hope to speak to you soon, but I cannot guarantee it will be next week, as I said, the human is spending way to much time on her laptop.

Keeping a Low Profile

Hello Pals,

I realize this Blog is ultra late this week, but I've been so busy trying to keep a low profile that I forgot all about my Blog. It's been a busy week (or two!), so busy I have no idea from were to start in fact. Autumn has started so I can wave good bye to the event-less summer days. Long are the days of sleeping for long hours in the balcony and sunbathing. Autumn is here and so are our long walks in the countryside, at least a weekend every month away from the Bug while she is at shows, school and Frisbee!

Speaking of weekends away from the Bug, earlier this month she went to Italy with my human ma, while I stayed at home with my other human having a boys weekend. She was supposed to go to Naples for a show, which she did, and apparently did well as well in spite of her being completely naked at this time of the year (out of coat - not naked in the other sense of the word!). What the human and herself "forgot" to tell me was that they were going to Rome. She said it was unplanned and that they went for an eye test, but I find it hard to believe. Anyway, while I was having my Boy's weekend with my human Pa, Paige and my other human were in Rome visiting the Colosseum, Old Rome and the Vatican City. I also heard rumors that Paige also requested an audience with the Pope, which of course he refused. I can understand why of course.... she wasn't with me. I'm sure he would have cancelled all his appointments for the day to meet me had I gone with them. Hrummmppppphhhh... Their loss! I sure enjoyed my weekend with the Boys, drinking beer and eating Cheese Burgers! We don't get to do that very often when the other human and the Bug are here. They're all about healthy eating and drinking water, like that's going to make you live a longer life! Eh... Girls!

As I said earlier, long walks in the countryside have also started.... and we nearly lost the Bug in one of them. We were playing "catch the rock" with our human when she decided she wanted to explore the "Blue dot" approaching us from far away, so she ran off towards it. The human started screaming and shouting but Paige was too interested in the blue dot, which by now I had figured out was a blue truck. I closed my eyes and couldn't look while my human went running after her. She then stopped, watched the truck pass by from in front of her and came running back to us all happy wiggling her butt. The human nearly had a heart attack.... and so did I. My personal slave nearly got run over!

Anyway pals, I have to go. It's raining outside and the Bug is having all the fun without me, rolling in rain water and singing in the rain. I'll speak to you another time. I hope you like the picture of the Bug and my human in Rome. Of course the Pope would be in it had I gone with them, but seeing they didn't take me, they're standing there alone!

I'm OFFICIALLY a Celebrity - Thank You Fans

Hello Pals,

I have news today. I have just been flicking through one of the magazines which came through the post this morning when I turned to Page 11 and couldn't believe my eyes. My Blog... This Blog.... is featured there! My oh My! First a Facebook fan page and now a magazine. I am becoming more popular then I thought. This is no school magazine or journal, this is a magazine that goes to every household on the island. The 400 000 inhabitants, young and old, rich and poor, short and tall...  of this island all have access to it! Wow! I'm amazed! I still cannot believe it.Thank you to the reader who submitted my site to Vida.

Of course, I won't be surprised that I will start getting offers to pose for the front cover of similar magazines, that, followed by Paparazzi snapping pictures of my every  move. Now that is something to think about! My humans would surely find out. That raises another question... Do I make it a point to tell them myself? Or let them find out? Once they find out, whether I tell them myself or not.... What will their reaction be? Will they sell me? I will surely be worth much more money! Think "Lassie", I'm sure she's worth thousands of Euro. A gorgeous Lass like her! To begin with I have to hide this magazine or feed it (or at least Page 11) to the 'Bug', otherwise I risk my humans finding out about it and it will all be over. In the meantime, whilst waiting for my first "Front Cover Offer" to arrive, I will try to think of the best way to tell them. I suppose its better if they found out from me, then from someone else. I'm sure they love me way too much to send me away. After all, how can they not love a handsome boy like me?

I'm off pals, I need to get my beauty sleep. Cannot risk being caught on camera with bags under my eyes or looking tired.

My Day without the Bug... and Stuff

Hello Pals,

Haven't been posting much as life has been pretty event-less recently. I'm still enjoying the last few days of summer. We've been going to the beach almost everyday of course and out for walks, but we spend most of our time in the balcony looking outside. The Bug is growing up, and she doesn't sleep as much as she used to, so I can hardly ever find time away from her wile the humans are at work to write in my blog. If I'm away from her for too long, she starts asking questions and the last thing I want is for her to figure out I've been using the human's laptop. If she does, I would have to show her how to use it, and I'm sure it won't be long then, before she breaks it and makes a mess out of it. Then how do I explain that to the humans? That would also mean the end of this blog.

A couple of days ago, Paige had to go to the vet to get some X-rays done. The human says she needs to make sure Paige is healthy and doesn't carry any problems before she can have "little gremlins" in 2012. Now that is something I hope never happens. Can you imagine? Some six or seven little Bugs running around and tugging my coat? I can see why humans are saying 2012 is the end of the World! THEY will be born... and THEY will try to take over the World. Anyway, enough about that prospect. As I was saying, the Bug had to go to the vet to have her X-rays taken and make sure her hips and elbows are as they should be. She was there for the entire day, while I stayed at home, alone with my human. Oh! It was so peaceful. I got loads of cuddles, and time for play with my own toys without the Bug taking them away from me. I think it was the first time I got time alone with my human ma since the Bug came, as usually I get time alone with my other human will my human ma and the Bug are at a show. It was kind of cool, and it brought back loads of memories of the days my human and I used to spend alone at home while the other human was at work. I have to admit though, that in the end I started to miss the Bug. I could feel something was missing in the house (of course I would never tell her that!), and was so happy when she got back. I suppose, I cannot live without her!

Oh no! I hear Paw Steps.... Got to run! Speak to you all next week.

Love  Curtis

My holidays

Hello Pals,

Apologies for the late reply but I had totally forgotten about my holiday. I have been so busy managing my blog, taking care of the Bug and guarding the house that I totally forgot all about my break. You see it can be stressful doing all of the above, so every year my humans give me a week off. A week where I don't have to look after Paige, or take care of the house... and I also take the opportunity to  have a break from my blog.

To make a long story short, I have been living the life of a King. It was so relaxing having the humans home for an entire week and not having to constantly look out for Paige and make sure she doesn't get into trouble. The humans made a new porch for me as well, under which I can relax. The breeze under it is incredible. I have to share it with Paige of course, but I love it. I have also learnt how to swim, and to enjoy the sea. When ever I used to go to the beach with the humans I used to enjoy splashing around in the water and rolling in the sand, while Paige swam. Now I have learnt how to swim and I love it. I think I want to be a Merman or a Merdog in my next life. It's so cool in there, and you don't even feel the heat! I can see why Paige loves it so much. I hope the humans continue to take me now that my holiday is over.

During my holidays we also got a huge new fan just for us. Paige loves it. She sits in front of it when ever it gets too hot, which means I get a timeout from her play. Mind you, she is maturing, and I am doing a great job in turning her into my very own personal slave. It suits her too, after all her name means "young servant". She has learnt to clean my eyes and ears every day and whenever they get dirty, that way they are always clean, and I don't have to put up with the humans splattering cosmetics all over my eyes and ears!

Anyway pals, I have to be off. Picture above is of me under the new porch, the second picture is of Paige next to her fan and the last picture is of Paige cleaning my eyes. I hope you enjoy the video of us swimming. Sorry about the quality, it was taken with my human's phone as she forgot the camera

An Injured Sister!

Hiya Pals,

Hope all is well with you. I finally have some piece and quiet. The humans are out, and Paige is fast asleep upstairs. Seeing nobody is around, I can finally sit down on my sofa, with a bowl of Beer and some bacon streaks, and relax.

It's been unusually quiet round here during the past week. The humans took us out for a walk last weekend, and Paige injured her paw while running after her Frisbee. She can be so dumb at times. She didn't manage to catch the Frisbee in the air, so she tried to catch it by skidding on the floor. She has a rather large abrasion at the base of her paw so she cannot walk properly. It's kind of funny in a way, she is walking like a fifteen year old Aussie, all lame. I can tease her all I want because she cannot catch up with me anyway, and she doesn't bug me anymore because all she wants to do is sit in a corner and feel sorry for her self. Anyway, the human had a look at it, she put some cream on it and bandaged it up for her. She looks kind of cute. The human isn't in her good books for obvious reasons!

Guess what? My human traded my squeaking chicken. She finally got ride of that horrendous thing in blue trousers. She put up a blog (SHE'S COPYING ME!, Oh no, she can't be! She doesn't know about my Blog) and asked if anyone was interested in trading something for my Squeaking Chicken and she did it. She traded it for a piece of rock. You can read all about it by clicking here --> http://squeakingchicken.blogspot.com I am so glad she did it. I nearly got a heart attack every time I heard it squeak. It sounded more like a dying baby than a playful toy. I'm just so glad I won't be seeing it or hearing it ever again :) Thank you Matthew for taking the squeaking chicken :)

Anyway pals, I got to be off. There is a cool movie on tonight I want to watch it.

Until next time....

A quiet week...

Hello Pals,

Hope all is well. Sorry for the late post but it took me forever to come to terms with the fact that my humans had my family jewels chopped off. I have finally come to terms with this psychological trauma and have started to accept life and look at everything from a different perspective. I have started to recognize the benefits of being "jewel less" in life such as not having to constantly worry whether I marked the last corner or not and carrying much less baggage at the back! I have decided to go in full coat, and nobody can really tell whether I still have them or not, so I don't have to worry about my friends at school. I am not completely over the shock of losing them, but I can see the positive side of it all.

Life is pretty event less at the moment. It is simply too hot to do anything, so I just spend my time looking from outside the balcony watching the daily life go by from above whilst feeling like a God. The neighbour with the OCD next door is again jealous of my coat and has asked my human to clip my coat. Can you believe it? Who does she think she is? If she thinks I'm letting anyone near MY COAT with a clipper, a pair of scissors or anything else that removes coat she has to think everything all over again. I swear on my treats and my squeaky toy, that if I end up coat-less because of her, I will pluck her hair one by one, lift my leg against her door and pooh write in front of it, and make sure my human doesn't see me so she won't pick it up. Maybe, just maybe, if I'm lucky enough, she will come out of the door and slip on it.

Anyway pals, with that I'll be off. I'm waiting for my humans to get back from shopping so we can go for a walk. They will be through the main door any minute now...

I don't believe this!

Hiya Pals,

I'm fuming! I don't believe this! I really cannot believe this! What were my humans thinking? This is unbelievable and totally unacceptable! How could they? You won't believe what they did to me!!! They took me to the doctor, gave me an injection to sleep and when I woke up... THEY were gone! My precious bits... my family jewels... MY PRIVATE BITS... were GONE! The Doctor had removed them... and instead, she put in 4 stitches! How horrible! I still cannot believe it. It's been 3 days and I still cannot live it down. I keep checking and checking in case they grew back, but they haven't and it says on the internet they won't! What are they going to say at school when they figure I have no... erm.... jewels left?!!!!! And the girls? Is this what a safe date is? Oh! How could they do something like this to me? To me!!! Little innocent me! How could they?!!!!!

Now, I refuse to go out. This has got to be the most horrifying punishment ever... and for what? I don't know what I did wrong. I can take a week of no treats, not going to school, not going out... not receiving cuddles but to cut my bits off?!!!! Utterly unbelievable

And the Bug....!!!! She's been laughing all the time and calling me "missing bits". I hope she has nothing to do with it because if I figure out this is all up to her I swear I will eat all her treats, hide all her toys and destroy her coat.

How could they?

I'm off pals, I have to go and figure out how to grow them back... Otherwise the girls aren't going to even look at me, never mind allow me near them during that time of the year!

My Birthday

Hello Pals,

Hope all is well. As you can see, I am posting my blog way before the 3 weeks have passed. Do you know why? Try and guess.... I guess you'll never guess, so let me just tell you. The humans did not go on holiday. They decided to stay here to celebrate my birthday. How cool is that? They said they stayed because some humans weren't feeling well, but we all know what the true reason was... They just couldn't miss my birthday, could they? One of the humans even took over a week off just to be with me! Can you believe it?

I had a blast of a day on my birthday. They got me a new rope toy and a paddle pool. My very own splashing pool. Can you believe it? I opened it and I wasn't quite sure what it was. Then the human set on the floor and started blowing into this huge plastic thing. Before I knew it, it was there, laid out in front of me and full of water. The Bug thought it was a huge drinking bowl so she started drinking from it, but then I showed her how it is done! I put my paw in to check the temperature, just to make sure it wasn't too cold or too hot, and it was just right. Then I ran and dived into it. Of course Paige did the same! We loved it. Paige couldn't believe it was all over, so she went to roll over in the empty pool. She can be such a funny lass at times. Can't wait till we get to do it again!

Do any of you know what a 'safe date' is? The humans are talking about making me a 'safe date' next week. They said I can have all the girls I want after that. I don't know what it is but I'm kind of looking forward to it. I mean it can't be a bad thing if I get to have all the girls I want, right? They say I can be with the girls even when it is THAT time of the year. I'm kinda liking this. Maybe it is another birthday present, a late one.

Anyway pals, I have to be off. The humans will soon be home from work and I still need to clean the laptop and check downstairs for any disasters Paige might have done while I was writing this blog,

This and that....

Hello Pals,

I'm all sad today. The humans are all packed and ready to go. I won't see them for 3 whole weeks :( We will be staying home and my human's humans will be taking care of us here. They are moving in for 3 weeks, which means no Blogs for 3 weeks. I don't know their routine and I certainly cannot risk them finding my paw marks on their laptop or even worse surprise me while I'm typing my blog. It will surely spook them, and what's worse, I'd risk being shipped off to some laboratory for tests to be conducted on my brain, seeing I have a higher I.Q. score then a lot of humans, never mind dogs. That would mean: No more treats, no more cuddles, no more humans and no more Bug... actually I might think twice on that last part...... Nah! Too much to lose!

Other then that, life's been fine. The human said she'll be giving me another birthday present today when she wakes up, and then another 3 when we celebrate my birthday, that brings the total to at least 6 presents for my brithday

In the meantime, I have started a new school and I'm doing really well too. I get to run free off leash and play with other pals. There is an agility track and I can go in and out of the tunnel as I please :) I love it. I have a new best friend too, he's an 8 month old Yorkie called Bruce. His human likes to dress him up and put bowes in his hair. He looks a bit ... er... how shall I put it... "girly" ? But he's kind of cool. The Bug sometimes comes aswell, she has her own friends, so I get to get rid of her for a while and can chase the girls as I please without having her nagging me and sticking her nose in where it is not wanted. I particularly like this yellow Labrador, she's called Maya. I'm going to miss all my new friends from school I guess while the humans are abroad. I hope they won't forget about me.

Well Pals, I have to be off. It's getting kind of late, and the humans will soon wake up,.
I'll speak to you in 3 weeks,

Love Curtis

Splash Day and my new Present....

Hello Pals,

Hope all is well. Life is simply amazing on the island. The weather is sunny, all the doors in the house are open and I get to walk in and out, sit in the sun or in the shade as I please. The Bug finally seems to be maturing and I got early birthday presents. What else could I ask for?

My birthday is approaching fast. I have to admit I was a bit sad as my humans are going to be away on holiday, but I am feeling much better now. You see the humans were feeling a bit guilty about missing my birthday, so they got me loads of presents to make up for it, plus we will get to celebrate my birthday anyway when they get back! How cool is that? I get to celebrate my 2nd Birthday twice in two months. I was allowed to have two presents yesterday. Aunty Thumbelina, Jake's human, got me two packets of super delicious treats. I got to try them yesterday and they are amazing... no... made in heaven.... simply Divine! They are so good, I will do anything for them. Unfortunately, I have to share them with the Bug, which is fine really because she shares hers with me.

The second present I got to open yesterday was a new flexi-lead. Now, I have to admit, I am not a big fan of leads but I love this one. Thanks to this new Flexi-lead, the human can take us both in the country side and on the beach alone, without getting worried that I will go off to say hello to other dogs or go for a run after joggers. We tried it this morning and it was great. The human took us swimming and for a walk in the countryside afterwards, and we were as good as gold. She said she will be taking us more often if we're this good every time. I can't wait!

Afterwards it was time to go home, and of course time for our torture bath... or so I thought. Instead of a torture bath, we got a 'fun bath'!!! We were both sprayed with water and were then allowed to play in the puddles of water outside, as well as skid around and play with our rope and our yellow ball. Boy it was fun! The human said we will get to do this more often in summer. She says it will help to keep us cool. I can't wait :)

Anyway pals,  I have to be off now. Hope you enjoy the pictures of Paige and I, all wet after our bath.

My WEEKENDs

Hiya Pals,

I am simply exhausted! Two very busy weekends. You see my human dad and I had a 'Boy's Weekend' last weekend as the Bug and my human were in Italy for some shows. She did well from what I heard, but I'm sure I enjoyed it more here. The human and I got to sleep in really late on both days. There was no little gremlin waking everyone up to play and no human ma waking my dad up to get the cleaning done before going out. We really had a blast of a time, going for long walks and playing all day with all MY toys. I have to admit though, I missed the Bug. In fact, I missed her so much that as soon as my human and her walked into the house, I went to hug the Bug rather then the human. Of course, the human wasn't too happy with that! I gave her loads of hugs and kisses afterwards of course, couldn't risk not getting treats for the rest of the day for making her mad!

It was a fairly easy week. The humans were at work, most of the week and I got to play with the Bug most days. Unfortunately, I couldn't post my blog as the laptop was at the technician's for repair. No pictures for this week either. I cannot find the camera.

Then finally the weekend arrived again. I love weekends. We get to spend at least one entire day with BOTH humans, as one big happy family, and we had two days this weekend! We spent most of the day at home yesterday, relaxing here and there. The humans had a Bar-B-Que planned for today, but of course it was pouring with rains. The human said it was raining cats and dogs. Not sure what she was talking about but I looked everywhere for them and I saw no cats or dogs outside and definitely none falling from the sky. She is either going nuts, or she hit her head against something. Anyway, the humans had been planning this day out with Daniela (Jake's Human) and her boyfriend for a while so they decided to go anyway. We spent 2 hours in the car looking for a place. We stopped at a few places and the Bug and I got to run in the rain and roll in the mud. We loved it.

Sadly, they cancelled the Bar-B-Que as the weather was horrible, so we went home for a lonnnnnnggggg sleep. The humans are out now, the laptiop is back and the Bug is on the sofa with a NEW Froggy! Yes, a NEW Froggy! I have no clue where he came from, but the Bug has a new Froggy. I have decided to completely ignore her and her Froggy for the time being. I have plenty of toys and plenty of fans to keep me busy.

Anyway pals, I have to be off.

I'll speak to you soon,

Love

I MURDERED Froggy

Hello Pals,

I have a confession to make this week. I murdered Froggy, Paige's birthday present.

You see, ever since he came, Paige has been giving him all her attention, kissing him and taking him everywhere with her. Unless I took him away from her and ran around the house with him in my mouth, she was acting like I was invisible. I had to put an end to it. I can take being replaced by humans or food, but I cannot take being replaced by a 7 inch stuffed animal. It was simply too much. So I planned his disappearance carefully. The idea was to take him away from her while she was asleep and hide him for a while in the hope that she would realize I was still there, that I miss her and what she was missing, but things didn't turn out quite as planned.

Initially, the plan was working. She fell asleep on the sofa like she usually does, with froggy next to her. So I sneaked in quietly, and got him by his head. The problem was she had her paw tightly around his feet, so I pulled and pulled, until I heard a cracking noise. Oh no! I thought! I must have hurt Paige, but then I realized that the cracking I had heard was Froggy's head being ripped open. Oh! I thought! This must be my lucky day! I pulled a little harder and managed to set him free from Paige. Now all I had to do was hide him somewhere out of Paige reach, but the taste of Froggy stuffing was simply too good, and the prospect of never ever seeing him again and get Paige's undivided attention forever was even better. So I continued to destuff his head until there was no more stuffing to take out. I left him there, next to his stuffing and went off to bed.

I was woken up the next morning by Paige's crying. She had found Froggy's body & stuffing, and was crying for him.  I couldn't believe it! She was crying for a 7 inch stuffed animal! I felt even better I had killed him, but I felt sorry for Paige. So I went up to comfort her. I told her that the rats must have attacked him and ripped him to pieces. Thankfully, she believed me! We helped the humans with Froggy's funeral. They placed him in the black bag in the silver bin inside the cupboard. That was it! He was gone for good! I was so relieved, not only did I have Paige's attention once again, Froggy was gone for good and she thinks I'm some kind of hero, because I took pictures of him dead which she thinks will help us with the evidence to find the culprit and bring him to justice. I do feel guilty for lying to Paige, but sometimes, a boy has to do what he has to do for a girl!

Anyway pals, I have to be off. Cannot risk her finding this blog, especially now after this confession. She would never forgive me! Got to ran,

Speak soon,

Paige's Birthday & MY fan club

Hello Pals,

Hope all is well. For those of you who have not yet heard, my very own fan club has been set up on Facebook. I am amazed at how famous I have become in such a short time. I have fans from Poland, Malta, Italy and South Africa amongst other. I have to be really careful now though, as I'm at risk of my humans finding out that I use their laptop, their camera and their study... which by the way is out of bounds for me, and of course I have to be super careful the Bug doesn't find out!

Speaking of the Bug... She is all grown up now. She turned 1 year old on the 12th May! Happy Birthday Paige! I was really glad she had her birthday, we got to have a small party at home. She had her own cake, which I ate half of, and new toys, which of course the humans make her share with me. Hihihihihi!!!! They are OUR toys :) You see because she is grown up now, she has to SHARE. So what is hers, is now OURS...  as opposed to how things where when she first came over... what was mine became hers, what was ours was hers and what was hers was hers and hers only.

Other then all this it's been a quite week. Of course I don't expect the coming weeks to be so quiet. Most probably I will have a lot of fan mail to answer to, and I'm pretty sure I'll have people queing in front of our door for me to Paw sign pictures. In the meantime, I have to take care of the Bug, and be her personal body guard.

Anyway pals, I'd be off. If anyone wants to find my fan page on Facebook, just search for "Curtis The Aussie Official Fan Club".

They're calling me Teddy Bear!

Hello Pals,

Hope all is well. I've been busy this week making sure Paige remains intact and no-one goes within a meter of  her. She is a celebrity now, and I just have to make sure nobody gets too close due to possible malicious intentions.

I had a bath this morning and shed all my coat. The human styled my coat after that and took some pictures. Boy am I looking gorgeous or what? The human is calling me her 'real life teddy bear'. I think it won't be long till they will have to appoint a personal body guard for me. All the girls are going to be queing outside our door before I know it, and I don't think the Bug will appreciate losing all the attention to 'her personal guard'. I am staying indoors for the time being. I don't think I can handle all that attention and girls wanting my pawgraph.

The weather keeps getting warmer, and the days longer. This means Bar-B-Ques will soon start and I will start getting extra meat & sausages. You see our human tends to cook for a 100 people if 10 are going to attend, and of course we can't let her waste all that food can we?

Anyway pals, I best be off. It's Mother's Day today and I still have to go and get something for the human, she is after all the Best Ma in the World.

I've been appointed Paige's Official Body Guard

Hello Pals,

I have a NEW job. Not only am I Paige's personal babysitter, I have now also been appointed her very own PERSONAL BODY GUARD. The humans say I have to be extra good now and look out for her. You see she was at a show last weekend, while I was at home relaxing. She was attacked by a HUGE black dog, twice her size according to her. Apparently she was really shaken, and started to cry. The humans thought of pulling her out of the competition for the day, but then decided to continue.... and good thing they did! She got Best of Breed, Reserve Best in Working & Pastoral Group, Best Puppy in Working and Pastoral Group & Reserve Best Puppy in Show. All from puppy class!!!! I am so proud of her.

What I'm worried about now though is when my human and I have the Boys Weekend... Who is going to look after her then? You see Paige and our human ma are going to Italy for a weekend, while my human dad and I are going to stay at home and have a Boys Weekend. I was kinda looking forward to getting rid of her for a couple of days but after last weekend, I'm going to be super mega worried about her. I know she will have the human looking after her, but it will not be the same as having me there. Plus, sometimes our human needs looking after herself, never mind looking after Paige!!!! Gosh! I hope she changes her mind about going, I'm going to be worried sick all weekend! Girls eh!

Weather is getting hot here, and I am slowly losing my coat. Don't need all that fur for summer, so I'm slowly taking it off. The humans are not very happy though finding it all over the house and furniture. I have a huge feeling that a Torture/Pamper day is on its way soon, and I am NOT looking forward to it!

Besides my appointment as Paige's Official Body Guard which was the highlight of the week, there I say month, it's been a very uneventful week. So I'll close the blog here for today and I'll write again next week all being well.

Busy Busy Busy...

Busy ... Busy .... Busy... I've been as busy as a Bee this week. Tasks have ranged from guarding the house from workers working next door to making sure the Bug is kept busy so she doesn't bother them, and I can assure you she has been a total nightmare. I have to make it a point to speak to my humans about this or somehow let them know. It is proving to be a very difficult task and it is draining me. I hardly have anytime for myself.

Because of  her I cannot sleep during the day, because of her I cannot write in my blog and because of her I cannot sunbathe, now that the sun is shining more often. Instead of maturing, she is in regression! It could of course be that she THINKS she is an adult now and that she can do whatever she wants. Girls are a nightmare at this age. I hope my humans don't even think about bringing another one into the house. One teenager is draining me, I dread to think what two would do! From the way they talk though, it sounds like I'm going to have to go through it over and over again throughout the years. Hopefully it won't be anytime soon, or I'm going to pack my things and find a place of my own. Of course that would mean aquiring my own laptop, my own camera, my own food, my own water, my own toys, my own bed.... On second thoughts, I think I'm staying here. I realize I have to put up with the Bug and share all of my stuff with her, but had I had to work to get all of my stuff, I think I wouldn't have time to sleep anyway! It's something I have to seriously think about.

Thankfully I got a peacfull day last Saturday. She had a dog show, so I got to stretch my legs, play with MY toys and sleep all day on MY sofa. From what I heard, she did well. In fact, not only did she get her first CAC, she also got Reserve in Group with the adults, and she is only 11 months old. I have to admit, I am proud of her. I hope she keeps winning, these shows are really a goD send. I can get a break from her for a few hours at least.

Geeze pals, I have to cut this short again. I think she went upstairs, got to run... Can't let her disturb the works

This and that....

Hello Pals,

Not much to write this week. It’s been a relatively quiet week. I’m being a very good boy eating ALL my food, and Paige’s, if I get the chance. She, on the other hand is being rather naughty. She is not eating her food, but will take a mouthful if I approach her food bowl or try to eat from it. She will also eat anything else that smells or looks like food. Girls eh? Who can understand them! They don’t even know what they want!

Life here is pretty boring at the moment. It must be because the humans are a bit busy with work.  All they have been doing during the past week is sleep and watch tv while at home. I am trying to make life interesting for them so I try to wake them up when they sleep by throwing my toy at them. I mean, sleeping while at home is a complete waste of time, especially when we’re all there. I have also tried to get their attention by destuffing Paige’s pillow. The human wasn’t very amused. I thought it was really cool, the bedroom looked like a Christmas Card. It looked like it had snowed. Gosh I miss the Snow!

The weather is getting warmer, and my walks shorter. This means we'll start going to the beach more often. The humans are also talking about a holiday. I have yet to figure whether they're taking us with them or whether we are staying home alone again, in which case I will have to start preparing for some parties while the humans are away.

No pictures this week, but I've managed to upload a video the human took of us last time we went to the beach. We tried to dig a whole to the other side of the earth but it was time to go back home before it was finished, because the Bug kept waisting time playing with her frisbee while we were working. It would have been cool though if we had finished it. Imagine it... just like the tunnel from the UK to France, only it goes to the other side of the World where ever that is. It would probably bring loads of tourists and my humans would make loads of money, which means they would be able to buy us loads of toys and treats. There would be one downfall though, we would have to give up "Curpaige Beach," our very own personal beach. Not sure if I could do that, so I suppose there is a positive side to not finishing our tunnel.

Anyway pals, I have to be off. The humans are not home today so I have loads of stuff to do.

The Black Out

Hello Pals,

Hope all is well. All seems to be well here and for the first time in weeks, my blog is on time. That has to be a good thing, no?

It's been busy here and the humans have been eating loads of chocolates and 'Figolli' (local sweet baked for Easter), because it's 'Easter'. That is so not fair.... We were still not allowed any chocolates, and this time they put them way out of our reach. They say it's bad for us. Bad for us ha? Then how come it isn't bad for them? My human ma has eaten so many Easter eggs, she is beginning to look like an Easter Egg herself... and I'm not joking!!!!

Easter weekend was cool. We got a total blackout on Friday. The entire country went black. You couldn't seen anything outside except for the moon and many many many stars. In fact, there were so many stars I couldn't count them all, and I can count up to 400! We couldn't see anything inside either so the humans lit some candles up all over the house. What was cool though was the fact that the humans went to bed early, and left the camera within my reach. I didn't manage to take any pictures of the Bug or myself because it was too dark and I didn't want to use the flash in case I woke the humans up, so I took loads and loads of pictures of the candles. Have a look. Don't you think they're lovely?

Anyway pals, I have to go. The humans will soon be back from work and I still have to clean up.

St Patrick's Day

Hello Pals,

Another very busy week has gone by, and I have yet to tell you about St. Patrick's Day on the 17th March'10 and our first taste of 'Guiness'.

Not sure who Mr. 'St. Patrick' is, but he sure makes nice Beer! You see apparently this Mr. St. Patrick is Irish and he has his own Brewery in Ireland, but somehow his beer is exported from there and transported all over the world, including Malta. Well, of course on St. Patrick's Day the humans went out to celebrate and Paige and I stayed at home alone. I heard them say something about getting drunk on Guiness. I wasn't sure if they were referring to us or themselves, but I figured they were expecting us to get drunk on this fine beer, as they left it in the fridge and didn't take it with them.

So, as the humans left, Paige who has become very mature over the past few weeks, suggested we used our very own Beer dispenser filled with Guiness and taste the beer. It was amazing, and we drank and drank and drank, until we started to feel dizzy and fell asleep. Before we knew it, we heard keys in the door! Oh no! I thought, still drowsy. The humans are back!!! ... and they were going to catch us in the act. I nearly froze! The Bug, was still asleep... I was going to get all the blame....

Lucky for us, the humans went straight to bed without coming into the living room. They thought we were both asleep and didn't want to wake us up. As soon as I was sure they were asleep I woke the Bug up and cleaned the place up. No-one noticed in the morning. What a close call that was. We nearly blew our secret up, and all because of the Bug! Had she not tempted me into trying the beer, we would never have gotten drunk on  it and we would never have had such a close call. Not sure I will trust her again. Having said that, I thought this Guiness Beer was Divine... thinking about it.... It probably is Divine, seeing it is brewed by a Saint! Not sure were the irish connection is though if it's brewed in Heaven. Maybe , Patrick sends it to Ireland first, and then it is distributed by the Irish? Possibly... I'm not really bothered to know, as long as I can get it every year, that's fine by me.

I'm off pals.

My new haircut....

Hello Pals,

Just a short note to appologise for not posting last week, but it was a rather sad week and I had a human with a broken heart to take care of. Things seem to have settled well again here, although the humans still sometimes get sad about Bud crossing over to rainbow bridge.

In the mean time, in order to keep busy and keep her mind off things the human decided to give me a hair cut. I can't say I particularly enjoyed it, but I like the results. Look at little handsome me, in the pictures. I'm pretty sure the girls are going to be queuing behind our door to set a date with me, and I'm sure 'Playdog' will be asking me to stare on one of their magazine covers.

In the meantime, it was St Patrick's Day last Wednesday. The humans went out and the Bug and I stayed at home, and had our first taste of Guiness.....

....Shhhhhhh.... I hear humans coming....  I got to run....  More about St. Patrick's Day and Guiness in next weeks post
