The man in the Red Suite... and Other stuff

Geeze Pals, I am sooooooooo exhausted this week. I mean all this stuff has happened and I really don't have a clue from where to start. Hence the late entry this week!

The bug had her first flying lesson this week. I tell you guys she is one fast learner. All she had to do was watch me do it a few times and she learnt in a matter of minutes. Of course one has to admit that she has one amazing teacher (me of course!)... and of course she isn't as good as me. I literally fly!

Then early this morning the man in the red suite came. I slept next to the door to catch a glimpse of him, but he either came in really slowly or he came in through some other place because I honestly didn't hear, smell or see a thing. I've talked it over with the Bug and we think he parked the raindeers in the balcony and came in through that door because we found that door ajar, but we're 100% sure it was him. He drank the milk, ate the cookies and fed the raindeers carrots we left him. There is also one puzzling thing about this guy, he doesn't leave a smell after he's been in. I'll explain.... as I'm sure this is a bit puzzling to any humans reading the blog. You see, when humans walk into a room and then leave, they leave their smell in there, and even though other humans cannot smell it, we dogs can. This is because we have super powerful noses. It is particular to every human being and no two are the same, although they can be similar depending on where they live and what they eat.  Now with this guy it is different... he did NOT leave human odor behind him. It is almost as if he was never there at all. I am sure he uses some kind of odor-masking spray so us dogs cannot track him down. The Bug agrees with me on this one too, in fact, we have come to the conclusion that this spray is probably manufactured for him in the North Pole where he comes from. Anyway, this guy in the red suite is called Santa Claus... and just like the Bug said, he got us tons of presents! He knew exactly what we wanted and in what colors.... and we didn't even have to write him a letter!  How amazing is that? I'm definitely writing him a letter next time, and well in advance too! The Bug says he will get us anything we want if we've been good enough, so that's definitely an incentive to behave!

Anyway pals, as much as I'd love to continue telling you about this week I have got to run. The humans are around and I've already been in here for too long. They'll be wondering what I'm doing next...

I'll speak to you early next week...

PS Picture 1 is of me and the bug flying... in total sync! If you look close you will see us both. The other picture is of us with the toys Santa Claus got us

I was wrong about the Bug

Humans are the weirdest of species. Honestly pals. I have been doing some serious research on the abuse I sustained on Torture Day and apparently, for humans, being dosed with water, covered in soap, dosed again in water and have air blown at you IS luxury! I have also read that humans, in particular the females, pay big money to go to these places called Salons and Spas to have all this done to them. I mean seriously peeps... these are insane! It seems I had gotten it all wrong... they weren't torturing me (although it felt like that!)... far from it. It was their way of PAMPERING me. Heh... and it seems I have also defamed the Bug. I suppose this calls for an apology... Even though she shouldn't be reading this blog in the first place. Any how, I will do a quick apology, and hopefully it will save me a lot of hassle in court should she decide to open a case against me: *Cough* If you are reading this Paige, I deeply apologies for passing defamatory comments about you, it wasn't my intention to harm your reputation. Sorry for saying you're a witch and that you have a master plan to conquer the humans... and the world. I promise never to call you a witch again and never ever to say something like that about you... EVER *Cough* That should settle it.

In the meantime, I am beginning to think the bug has above average intelligence. Either that or she is really a .... double ewe (W) eye (I)  tea (T) sea (C) hitch (H), and is having premonitions! I have been seeing this man in a red suite all over the place whenever we go out, just like the Bug had said. Presents have started to appear under the tree that grew in our living room too. They appear right after the humans have been out. I am not sure if they are being put there by someone or if the tree is actually growing them, but I have been guarding the door downstairs and the man in the red suite definitely isn't passing from there, so I don't think it's him that is placing them.

Very puzzling! Anyway, I am off to solve yet another mystery.

Speak soon,

P.S. No pictures this week, sorry. The humans have put the camera on one of the top shelves and I couldn't reach it

Torture Day...

Good Morning World!

I am really worried today. I think the Bug has worked out a plan to get me out of the house... or rather to keep me in the house and torture me. Honestly guys I am being TORTURED big time, and what's worrying me is that it's not jut the Bug that is torturing me, but my humans too! I am sure it's part of a plan and the mastermind behind it is the Bug. Please don't think I'm over reacting, because I'm not!!!  Listen to what they did to me these past two days and then judge for yourself.

First, they fenced off the entire roof and play area. I was smiling at first because I was pretty sure they did it because of the Bug so she cannot jump and get away, but then yesterday they put their plan into action and I realized that it was only Part A of their plan....

... then yesterday, they moved on to Part B. They put a leash on me, and I was sooooooo happy because I thought we were going for a walk, but soon realized THEY had other plans when they took me upstairs to my play area. My human dad held me tight, while my evil human mum dosed me with water... then after that they covered me in soap!!! Can you believe it?!!! SOAP!!! That whitish, smelly, foamy stuff called soap!!! They left me like that for 10 minutes... 10 WHOLE MINUTES... and then after that they dosed me with more and more water to get the soap out. They let me run loose after that for a few minutes and I was soooooo relieved because I thought it was over, and I could just sit outside in the sun and dry even though I was still smelling of soap.  However I was wrong once again :( Far from finished... they hadn't even started yet.

They then took me to what they call 'The Grooming Room.' Even the name sounds horrible, it makes you think of something dark and gloomy. Anyway, they put me on a table and they cut my nails. ALL OF THEM. One by one, I saw them being cut and fall dead on the floor, and before I knew it, my nails were nearly half the size they were before. After that, I had to undergo 2 hours of warm and cold air being blown at me... and as if that wasn't enough... she then trimmed my coat - feet, tail and ears! Unbelievable!!! By the time all this was over I could hardly recognize myself. Of course the Bug watched and ENJOYED every second of it. In fact she didn't move from there, and laughed at me the whole time.

I cannot believe the humans would betray me like that. I'm so upset about it all. I just don't get it though. They were cuddling up to me and giving me kisses in the evening. I'm pretty sure the bug did something to them. In fact, thinking about it now, they were acting a bit strange throughout the entire operation. Maybe she spiked their drink, and they didn't know what they were doing? But then how would she have gotten the stuff to spike it in the first place? Or maybe she has mastered the science of hypnosis? Maybe she hypnotized them and they don't even have a clue about what they did to me. Perhaps she cast a spell on them, after all her official name is 'SPELLBOUND', and she is named Paige after a very powerful witch. This is scary! I think it's best if I go online and do some research on it all.

Gotta run pals, I don't have much time if I want to save my humans... and THE WORLD... from the little witch

A tree in our living room

Hello Pals,

Just a quick entry today. One of the humans is at home on sick leave so I really don't have much time.

You'll never guess what grew in our living room... A 6 foot tree... and it grew while I was asleep!!! All 6 feet of it. Can you believe it?! And it has the most amazing fruit too. They grow in balls and stars of all sizes. I tried to get one but the humans told me off. So I guess we're not allowed to touch them. Can't wait till they get ripe so they start falling off. I wonder what they taste like. I'm trying to remember what the tree is called. The human told us yesterday, but I can't find the word... hmmmm.... Oh yes... A Christmas Tree... and it has lights too on it, but I think the humans put those on.

I still haven't figured out what Christmas actually is. The bug said she heard the humans say it's a feast and they will get us presents. Maybe it's the feast of the tree that grew in our living room. I still can't see why they would get us presents though, it's not like it's our birthday or anything, so I'm guessing the bug made that up. She also mentioned something about a man in a red suite living in the north coming during the night and leaving presents to all those children, puppies and dogs that have been good during the year. She said he will leave a lump of coal if someone wasn't good throughout the year. Hmmm... makes me wonder if that is true or not. To be honest I think she has a lot of imagination, however it's not worth risking... so from today onwards I'm going to be on my best behavior even at school. Not that I need to make much effort, I'm a very good boy... unlike someone I know.

Anyway pals, I got to run... I hear footsteps and pawsteps.

Speak soon

Teenage Rebel

Hiya Pals,

Sorry for the late post this week, but it's been crazy. The bug recently turned 6 months old, which means she has reached the human equivalent of a teenager, which means she has reached THAT age. That age where she thinks she's an adult, can do what she wants and thinks she can twist anyone round her little paw! This  means the humans have to keep a closer eye on her... and of course it is up to me to keep an eye on her when the humans are at work. The Mama is all the time saying 'Curtis watch that baby'.  Watching the baby has proven harder then I thought. Hihi... she hates it when the humans call her 'the baby'... especially now that she thinks she is all grown up and mature.

Grown up and Mature!!! Yeah right!!! She is anything but that!!! Just recently in fact she chewed on a new carpet and on an old door.... while I was resting my eyes for a few minutes... (NO I wasn't sleeping!) The humans weren't too impressed. Our humans weren't impressed with a lot of things she did this week in fact, even when they were watching her. They took us for a walk in the countryside and 'the baby' rolled in a puddle of mud... then when we reached the seaside she jumped into the sea. Mama was screaming her head off. I was secretly smiling because it was so funny... what was funnier was the bug's expression when she realized she was going to have a bath when we got home.

Sources that cannot be disclosed have also informed me that she took part in a nude photo shoot when she was in Poland, just before she came to live with us and her pictures will be published in a Calendar due for release next year. I haven't told the humans about it... I don't think they're going to be too pleased when they find out their "Little girl" is getting involved in this sort of thing. Of course this gives me something to blackmail her with when she is being naughty at home. In fact I have used this very thing today to be able to sit on my sofa and type this blog, while she is upstairs in her room.... because I TOLD HER SO! :)) I must be a genius!

Anyway pals, I have to be off. I still haven't watched any TV today ...

The Bug's first show

Good afternoon World!

Hope all is well. All is well here, in fact I haven't felt so relaxed and well rested in weeks.... Ever since the bug came home to be exact. Well, she had her first show yesterday, so she was out all day with the humans, while I got to stretch my feet, relax and sleep ... ALL IN MY OWN time! How cool is that! What was even better was that she was so tired by the time they got back, that she went straight to bed, which meant I got some quality time with the humans ALONE... while SHE was asleep :)))

To her credit, the humans said she showed extremely well. She only got Best of Breed, and didn't place in the group but my humans were really proud of her... and so am I, in a weird kind of way. I saw her pictures of my humans' laptop and if she showed as well as she seems to be in the pics... then I have a STAR as a sister. Which is really cool. I mean, if she is good at this, she will be taken to more shows, which means I get to get more FREE time on my own... which also means .... more time to SLEEP!!!

Anyway, I think I'll best run off. Don't want her to wake up and find me on here, in case she goes to blabla everything to the world.

PS.  Pictures above are of the bug showing. Pictures courtesy of my human dad Dennis Mifsud .

The Bug is GROWING

The Bug is growing FAST.

She will be 6 months in 2 days time and what a gorgeous little bug she is turning out to be. I have to admit, I'm going to find it hard to keep my eyes off her if she gets any better then this... It's already a struggle now! I hope I won't get too jealous when she starts bringing her boyfriends home. I can't believe I'm thinking this stuff, I'm old enough to be her father!

Anyway, she maybe maturing physically, but mentally she is still the baby she was 3 weeks ago, when we first got her. Her new obsession involves the toilet bowl. She has to walk in the bathroom and have a look at what's inside the toilet bowl every time she passes from in front of the bathroom. I mean, I am not sure what she expects to find in there.... and you should see the look on her face when somebody flushes the toilet. It's priceless. I am thinking of getting her, her own little flushing toilet, just to keep her quiet. It's the only time of the day when I can get away from her. The humans say I should get it for her as a Christmas present. Not sure what they mean? What is Christmas?

Well best be off. I think my human is back from shopping.

Cheerio.... Until Next time...

Caught in the act! Ha!

I am being ABUSED

Hi Pals...

I reeealllllllyyy need to vent today!!! I no longer have MY own humans, MY  own toys, MY own drinking bowl... not even MY own FOOD BOWL. The Bug has decided that what is hers, is hers... what is OURS is hers and what is MINE is also HERS. Can you believe how greedy she is? I have to share EVERYTHING with her including my toys and bed.... AND all the cuddles from the humans.

Geeze guys... I think I am going to join the Association for Battered Men or battered dogs or what ever they call it. I am being abused BIG TIME by the Bug! I'll be lying there relaxing one minute... the next thing I know is I am being dragged about from my coat all around the room.... and guess by whom? By the little bug of course.  I can no longer sleep when I want to... I can only sleep when SHE wants me to. I can't even play when I want, and if SHE wants to play and I don't, then poor little me, because I have to play anyway.

Geeze what is it with women and this family. Can't you girls just let us guys relax when WE WANT to?!!!

I'm off before I'll have to share MY OWN BLOG too!

Refurbishment of the house

Hello Pals,

Yet another week has passed, and what a week it has been. The humans decided it was time to refurbish our house, well rather then refurbish ... I would say furnish our house. You  see, we moved in this new place, because I wanted a place of my own with my own humans. So the humans and I moved in, in a bit of a hurry, and the place wasn't entirely finished yet. The last of the maintenance people came today and the sofa people should be coming today too. I can't wait!

I mean seriously guys, how can humans move into a place with NO sofa. Poor me had to relax on a pillow, which by the way I have had to share with the ADDITION (aka Paige) during the past 2 weeks. But now I'm going to have MY OWN sofa! YEY! Can't wait.

Anyway pals, I have to run... I hear pawsteps...

A week with the little one

Good Morning World!

The humans just left for work, so I thought I'd sit at the desk and write a quick blog before Paige (aka THE ADDITION) wakes up.

A week has passed and we have enjoyed every second of it. We've been out walking and running in the countryside. We also went to school 2 days ago. I was doing agility with my human dad, while Paige was doing Ring Craft with the human mum. Human mum was really pleased with her, she behaved really well apperently. Guess she likes it... Not my style, I prefare jumping those obstacles and doing my downs to impress the girls in my class rather then standing and walking for a reward. I think its too... erm... how shall I put it... classy for me. I like the fast staff... RUN Curtis.... JUMP Curtis.... DOWN Curtis.... GOOD BOY!!!

THE ADDITION can be quite a BUG. She wants to play all day. I enjoy playing with her, but boy she tires me out, and she can't get it into her peasize brain of hers that I need time to relax and get my beauty sleep. She can be quite persuasive too. I will say no to her, then she will give me those sweet puppy eyes, and I just HAVE to play with her. She bosses me around too... and she is only 5 months old. Hruuuuummmmmpppphhh... Girls eh! What can you do?

Anyway pals, I think I'll best be off. I think I can hear paw steps coming, and I don't want her to tell the humans I've been in here.

The new addition is home

Hello World!

The NEW addition is home. She is a miniature me! It's like seeing a picture of me at 5 months old come to life! Seriously guys... I thought another human was coming, but NO she is a 5 month old Australian Shepherd, just like me. She has the same coloring, with a little more white, and she is the cutest thing ever. She has a teeny weeny tail too.

I was so excited to see her, and she got me some toys. We played for hours and hours together yesterday, until we were so exhausted we could hardly move. The humans are really proud of me because I like her and I am taking care of her. Hrummmphhh... What did they think? Did they think I was going to send her away!!! How could I? She is so adorable.... Even though she took MY entire bed last night.

Anyway pals, I'm off. Got to go and play with the addition... by the way, the humans call her Paige, so I guess that's her name. I haven't told her about the blog yet, don't want her to go and bla bla everything to the humans. I will tell her, when she is a bit older, old enough to keep a secret.

See you around pals,

Love Curtis

P.S. This is her

My weekend

Hello Pals,

Hope this entry finds you all well. I'm doing well here, still a bit exhausted from the long weekend though.

It's autumn here... (Is it autumn in the rest of the world too?) The weather has finally started to cool down a little bit, which by the way is brilliant news for me. You see, in summer it is TOO HOT to go for long walks, so I only get short walks in the morning and slightly longer ones in the evening besides swimming. Now that autumn is here though, I get to go for way longer walks... and I get to run off leash. How cool is that!!! Both my humans had the weekend off so we decided to go for one of our long walks in the countryside, and boy did I enjoy it! You'll never guess what I found. I found a rabbit borrow and rabbit poo. I got to eat some as well, but shhhhhhhhhhh... don't tell the humans, otherwise they'll brush my teeth. I got to chase a couple of birds, and drank from a puddle full of muddy water. The human was screaming her guts out when she saw me! I chased her and made her chase me. Heh! I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

I have to admit I was mega tired by the time the walk was over! And that's not it... In the evening I also got to go for a long walk with my best friend Bud, the bull terrier. He belonged to my human Lee, when she lived with her humans, but had to leave him behind when her and my other human came to live with me. Her folks didn't let her bring him to live with us, which in a way is better for me. I get to get all of their attention :) But I like the guy, he is cool... and strong! And I also enjoy walks with him when they take me to see him.

Anyway pals, I think I best get off the laptop. My humans are downstairs getting dinner ready and I don't want them to catch me up here typing, so I'll be off for now.

I'll post soon!

P.S This is me yesterday!

Hello !!!

Good Morning World!

Well in actual fact it is waaaaaaaay past midday here, but I just woke up from my mid-morning nap. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself, my blog and my family.

My name is Curtis, I am 16 months old, and I live on the tiny island of Malta. Malta is situated right in the middle of the  mediterranean sea, somewhere between Italy and Libya. (I know all that! Geeze, am I smart or what!!!) I am an only dog, and I have been living with my pet-parents Den & Lee for the past 6 months or so. They say, a new addition will be joining us soon. She will be called Paige apperently. A new sister! I haven't met her yet, so I am not quite sure what to think of her, but I will let you all know once she gets here.

I do obedience and agility with my humans, and am getting really good at it. I also enjoy using the computer when my humans are at work. They know I'm smart, but they don't know I'm smart enough to use a laptop, so try and keep this quite and make sure not too many humans get to know about this; ust in case someone tells them. I'll try to write about my life here at least weekly, but I can't promise. As I said, I have to do it discretly. I don't want them to find out and think I'm some kind of freak!

Anyway, I think it is best if I stopped here for today. Lee will soon be home, and I still have to wipe all the slobber from the keypad and make sure there are no paw prints on the chair.
